Hood Vents
I got the inspiration for the hood vent project from a fellow binder nut at www.binderplanet.com
These are marine application vents, made from 304 stainless. I won these from an Ebay auction for about $20.00
Having a helper during any project is very important.
A tape measure, ruler, marking pen and a couple power tools are about the only tools required for the project.
To protect the paint, I recommend tape either on the base of the jigsaw or on the hood around the area to be cut.
Here is a shot of the unmolested hood
No pictures of the actual cutting, but the passenger side is installed and the drivers side measured and taped. The driver side was much more difficult because the measurements had to match the passenger side perfectly. I got within one millimeter.
All done!
